Madison Correia

Madison Correia began her dance training at age 2 studying at the Connecticut Dance Conservatory under the direction of Laura Kendrick. Throughout her training, she has studied with Dina Castelluccio, Michael Shannon, Deanna Ford, Eric Campros, Lauren Barrett, Mollee Grey, Jess Warfield and Tokyo. Madison has had the privilege of performing and competing on some of the most well known stages within the tri-state area for such events as Dancer’s Responding to Aids at SUNY, and Choreographer’s showcase at the Joyce Theater in NYC. She has also achieved titles and significant achievements throughout conventions, competitions and showcases locally and nationally. After graduating high school, she continued dancing and performing as a Southern Connecticut State University Dance Team member, while completing her B.S. in Special Education (K-12) and Elementary Education (1-6) and B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies of Psychology, Mathematics and Science. After graduating from her undergraduate experience, she became the head coach of the SCSU Dance Team and went on to complete her Masters of Science: Learning Disabilities program at SCSU.

Currently, Madison serves as a special education teacher in New Haven and a board member of the SCSU Alumni Association, in addition to her role as the SCSU dance team coach. She also has continued her education at the University of Bridgeport, pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership. Madison is thrilled to join The Dance Corner team and work with all the dancers!
