Important
Dates
Recital- 6/4 & 6/5,
2:00PM both days, dancers arrive at
1PM

Ticket Sales
Recital Tickets will be
on sale Saturday, May 14th from 12:00pm - 4:30pm
and will be available for purchase thru June
3rd. Tickets will not be
available at the door the day of the
recital. Families have been
assigned a time slot for ticket purchases on May
14th based on when they
registered for fall
classes. Click here to find your ticket

If you are unable come to
ticket day, you should fill out a Ticket
Request form and we will assign your tickets
during your time slot on May 14th.
There will be a limit of 12 tickets per
family, per performance on ticket day.
Additional tickets can be
purchased at our shop 5/16- 6/3. Click here for your Ticket
Request Form.
Tickets are $12 per
person. "Mom" tickets will be available for the
same person to attend both shows for $18
each. There is a limit of 4 "Mom"
tickets per family.
Tickets
can be purchased by cash or check only. No
credit cards will be accepted on Ticket
Day. All ticket sales are final. No
refunds or exchanges.
Those families carrying a
past due balance through May
will not be able to purchase tickets until their
balances are current.
Statements will be mailed to all families
with past due balances before ticket
day. If you have any
questions about your balance, please contact
Miss Carrie before ticket day to discuss
them. May tuition payments
are due on ticket day, May
14th.
Saturday
morning classes will meet as usual on Saturday,
May 14th.

Family
& Business Program
Advertising
Show
your support for the dancer in your life. Place
an ad in the recital program. Ad prices range
from $110 for a full page ad to $8 for boosters.
Include personal messages and photos to let the
dancer in your family know how proud you are of
her or him. Business advertising is also
welcome. More than 1000 residents of
Killingworth, Madison and area towns will view
your ad . The printing of the recital program is
funded by these ads. Please support our effort
to give dancers memorable keepsakes from the
recital. Ad forms are available in the studio

Recital DVD
Orders
Give
yourself one less thing to remember on recital
day and order your recital DVD
today. Order forms will be available in
the lobby and online through June 1st. There is
no videotaping allowed at the recital. We
hire a wonderful videographer who has been
taping our recital for over 10 years. The
video is high quality and includes a case and
DVD label with the recital artwork on it.
Each video also includes a "Cast of Stars"
credits list that rolls at the end of the video,

Volunteers Needed!
It
takes many people to pull together our annual
recital. Currently, we don't have nearly enough
dressing room help for either show. Please
consider volunteering your time backstage during
the Saturday or Sunday show. Sign up sheets are
located in the studio waiting room. Or you can
email Miss Carrie about volunteering. If your
child performs both days, you can watch one day
and help out backstage the other day. All
dressing room monitors will receive one free
ticket to either show for themselves or a friend
or family member. Thank you to all who have
signed up already. Your help is greatly
appreciated. Please consider helping
out. We can't do it without you!

Summer Classes &
Camps
Don't forget to sign
up for summer camps and classes. Registrations
paid in full by May 1st are eligible for a 10%
early bird discount! For schedule and

Shoe Orders
Miss
Carrie will be placing several shoe orders
throughout the next couple of weeks. Stop by our
shop for a shoe fitting before May 15th to get
your shoes in time for the
recital! |

Fall 2011 Classes
Fall
2011 class placement letters will be sent to
students' homes this month. Registrations
will not be accepted until after the recital on
June 6th In order to help families
choose the appropriate classes for their
dancers, we will send home individualized class
placement recommendations for each student.
These recommendations will let you know what
class your child should enrolled in for the
2011-2012 dance season. We hope this will help
families better navigate the registration
process. Any questions about your child's class
placement should be directed to Miss Carrie
before June 6th.

May tuition
payments are due by Ticket Day, May 14th.
Families carrying a past due balance through May
will not be able to purchase recital tickets

Support our
dancers at their final competition of the
season
 The Dance Company is competing at the
Nexstar Talent Competition at North Branford
High School, April 29th-May 1st. The full
schedule is posted on our lobby bulletin
boards. Competitions are open to the
public and free to watch. If you would
like to see what competition is all about and
see our dancers perform, please stop by North
Branford High School this weekend. Please
no photography or video in the
auditorium.

Recital
Running Order
A
draft of the running order for the Saturday
& Sunday recital performances will be
emailed and posted in the lobby of the studio
this month. It is very difficult to create the
show order. We have done our best to give
dancers enough time to change between dances,
but there are still some quick changes for
students in multiple dances. Please take a
moment to review the posted running order and
notify Miss Carrie IMMEDIATELY if you see any
problems with it. For example, the same dancer
in back-to-back dances.

Stage
Rehearsal Schedule
Stage
rehearsals will be held Wednesday, 6/1 &
Friday, 6/3 at Haddam Killingworth High
School. Each class has been assigned a
time on ONE of these dates. There will be no regular
classes 5/31-6/3.
Students
should come dressed in dance wear for the
rehearsal. NO COSTUMES PLEASE. There
is no food or drink allowed in the
auditorium. Please keep all snacks in the
lobby area. Parents are welcome to stay
and watch the rehearsal, but please keep talking
to a minimum. Things get loud in the
auditorium pretty quickly and it slows down the
rehearsal when the dancers and teachers can't
hear each other.
Please
find your child's rehearsal time below.
Students
should arrive 5 minutes before their scheduled
rehearsal time. We have alloted
more time for each group than in past years, so
I expect the rehearsals to run on time each
night.
All
dancers are expected to attend the stage
rehearsal and practice on stage with their
class. Dancing on stage is very different
than dancing in the studio and this spacing
rehearsal is an integral part of helping
students get comfortable on stage so the can
give a great performance. If one member of
the class is missing it will affect the whole
class. Please let Miss Carrie if you have
any conflict with your rehearsal
time.
