Ticket Sales

Recital Tickets will be on sale Saturday, May 14th from 12:00pm - 4:30pm and will be available for purchase thru June 3rd. Tickets will not be available at the door the day of the recital. Families have been assigned a time slot for ticket purchases on May 14th based on when they registered for fall classes. The ticket sales day schedule is included at the end of this newsletter.

If you are unable come to ticket day, you should fill out a Ticket Request form and we will assign your tickets during your time slot on May 14th. There will be a limit of 12 tickets per family, per performance on ticket day. Additional tickets can be purchased at our shop 5/16- 6/3.

Tickets are $12 per person. "Mom" tickets will be available for the same person to attend both shows for $18 each. There is a limit of 4 "Mom" tickets per family.

Tickets can be purchased by cash or check only. No credit cards will be accepted on Ticket Day. All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

Those families carrying a past due balance through May will not be able to purchase tickets until their balances are current. Statements will be mailed to all families with past due balances before ticket day. If you have any questions about your balance, please contact Miss Carrie before ticket day to discuss them. May tuition payments are due on ticket day, May 14th.

Saturday morning classes will meet as usual on Saturday, May 14th.

Recital 2011

The recital will be held on June 4th & 5th at Haddam Killingworth High School.

All classes do not dance both days.

Please see the schedule posted in the waiting room and online to determine which day(s) your child dances. Both performances start at 2pm.

Students must arrive at the school in their first costume by 1pm. The running order of both performances will be posted by early May.

Flower, T-shirt & DVD Preorders

Give yourself one less thing to remember on recital day by pre-ordering your recital T-shirt and DVD and rose bouquets for your dancers! Pre-order forms will be available in the lobby and online through April 16th. All T-shirt and flower orders must be received by 4/16. T-shirts and flowers can be purchased at the recital, but we order limited quantities, so pre-order and be sure to get yours!

Stage Rehearsal

Stage rehearsals will be held Wednesday, June 1st and Friday, June 3rd at Haddam- Killingworth High School.

Each class will rehearse on one of these dates. The rehearsal schedule will be distributed by the beginning of May.

As you can imagine, it is difficult to create a schedule that is convenient for all Dance Corner families. Please let Miss Carrie know about any school concerts, field trips etc, that may interfere with your child's ability to attend rehearsal on June 1st or 3rd by April 22nd. We will do our best to schedule classes on dates and times that work for everyone.

Students should arrive 5 minutes prior to their first scheduled dance. Students should come dressed in dance class attire, NOT costumes.

Family & Business Program Advertising

Show your support for the dancer in your life. Place an ad in the recital program. Ad prices range from $110 for a full page ad to $8 for boosters. Include personal messages and photos to let the dancer in your family know how proud you are of her or him. Business advertising is also welcome. More than 1000 residents of Killingworth, Madison and area towns will view your ad . The printing of the recital program is funded by these ads. Please support our effort to give dancers memorable keepsakes from the recital. Ad forms are available in the studio lobby. Please see Miss Carrie for more information.

Volunteers Needed!

We need parent volunteers for the recital and stage rehearsal. Sign up sheets will be posted in the lobby soon. Please consider helping out. We can't do it without you!

Summer Classes & Camps

Don't forget to sign up for summer camps and classes. Registrations paid in full by May 1st may be eligible for a 10% discount! For schedule and information visit TheDanceCorner.com or grab one of our summer brochures in the lobby.

2009 VIP Camp

Fall 2011 Classes

The Fall 2011 class schedule will be available at the end of April. Registrations will not be accepted until the Monday after the recital, June 6th. In order to help families choose the appropriate classes for their dancers, we will send home individualized class placement recommendations for each student. These recommendations will let you know what classes are appropriate for your child for the 2011- 2012 dance year . Any questions about your child's class placement should be directed to Miss Carrie.

May tuition payments are due by Ticket Day, May 14th. Families carrying a past due balance through May will not be able to purchase recital tickets until the balance is paid in full.

The Dance Corner will be closed for
April Vacation 4/18-4/24.

Ticket Day Schedule
Saturday, May 14, 2011, 12:00PM-4:30PM

Families will purchase tickets during their assigned timeslot. The order that families are listed is the order in which they will buy tickets. The first name listed at 12:00 will be the first family to buy tickets, the second family listed will purchase theirs second and so on. If you are late for your assigned time, the next family on the list will go ahead of you. The schedule is tight and we will need to keep things moving quickly in order to keep the day running smoothly.

Families who cannot attend ticket day should complete a ticket request form and turn it in to Miss Carrie before 5/14. Seats will be assigned to you at the end of your designated ticket time block.
