Summer Classes & Camps

Summer classes at The Dance Corner provide students of all levels an opportunity to improve their technique, refine their skills and explore new areas of dance.  Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Irish Step, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Broadway styles and Pointe will be explored.   New and returning students welcome!

Dance Performance Workshop
for students entering 5th- 12th grade, 6/13-6/15, 5:30-8:30PM
This special June session is designed to give dancers a 3-day immersion in all forms of dance with a focus on technique and performance, quality and style.  Over the course of the three-day session students will fine tune their skills in Tap, Jazz and Ballet, and be introduced to new disciplines such as Modern Dance, Broadway Jazz, Hip Hop and Lyrical.  Students interested in auditioning for the 2011-2012 Dance Company are strongly urged to attend this workshop.  Material covered in the workshop will be included in the Company auditions on June 16th. Tuition- $82

Fairy Tale Dance Days for 3-5 year olds
These theme based classes teach a love of dance and performing arts through creative play.  Dancers will dance along with their favorite stories and create related crafts.  Each fun-filled session consists of 45 minutes of dance and movement, story and craft time. Register for one or all Fairy Tale Dance Days!  10AM-11:30AM,  $22/session

Fun Classes for Girls and Boys Too!
Kung Fu Dance
Kick, punch and dance your way to fitness and fun this summer with this innovative program found only at The Dance Corner.  Classes are taught by program creator, Apollo Smile. Kung Fu Dance is a high energy mix of martial arts, acrobatics and hip hop dance for boys and girls.
Students will learn how to use foam nunchuks, kick and punch combinations.  Along with the Kung Fu, students will perform basic hip hop and jazz movements along with some tumbling and acrobatics. No special equipment is necessary, just come ready to have fun!

5- week Session- Wednesdays 6/22-7/20
5:30-6:30- Kung Fu Dance I- ages 5-7
6:30-7:30 Kung Fu Dance II- ages 8-12

Hip Hop
Our very popular Hip Hop classes are offered this summer for new and returning students ages 7-17.  These high energy classes teach rhythm, coordination, and age-appropriate hip hop choreography with no suggestive music/movements. Hip Hop is upbeat and great for girls and boys who like to move.
5- week Session
Ages 7-10- Thursdays 6/23-7/21, 6:30-7:30
Ages 11-13- Tuesdays, 6/21-7/19, 6:30-7:30
Ages 14 & Up- Tuesdays, 6/21-7/19, 5:30-6:30

V.I.P. (Very Important Princesses)
Camp for 5-7 year olds
7/12-7/14, 10AM-12PM
Be a ballerina princess for a few days! Campers will learn basic ballet steps and dance to all their favorites from The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.  They will decorate wands and crowns and have fun creating their own “Princess” costumes, complete with hair and make-up!  The V.I.P.’s will perform a special dance number for family and friends on the last day of camp.  Tuition:  $68


Petite Princess Camp for 2 ½- 4 year olds
7/19-7/21, 10AM- 11:30AM
Our Petite Princess Camp is for little princesses not quite old enough for the V.I.P. Camp.  Campers will immerse themselves in a magical fairy land of ballerina princesses with stories, crafts, dress up, music and dance.  Every moment will be filled with games, crafts and fairytale enchantment.  Princesses will perform a special dance for family and friends on the last day of camp.   Tuition: $58

Buy a Summer Dance card for $72 and attend any 6 classes you want during our summer session.  Summer dance cards are a flexible way to keep you dancing over the summer without committing to a regular weekly class.  Any member of your household can use the Summer Dance Card.  Cards are valid from June 21st - July 21st.   

Cards are non-refundable and non-transferable (beyond immediate family members).  Cards valid for Summer Session classes only.  Not valid for camps or workshops including,, Fairy Tale Dance Days, Dance Performance Workshop.  No Discounts on Dance Cards

The Dance Corner, LLC reserves the right to cancel classes or camps due to lack of enrollment.

Refunds will not be granted due to student withdrawal from summer session classes or camps . Students who withdraw more than 14 days before the class or camp start date will be issued a studio credit.  Credits and refunds will not be issued to students who withdraw less than 14 days before the class or camp start date.

Tuition refunds will be granted only in the event that The Dance Corner, LLC cancels classes or camps.
