Wendy Beckart
Wendy began dancing at Miss Patty's School of Dance at the tender age of three years old. During that time she took classes in Ballet, Tap and Tumbling. The start of her dancing career began at the age of seven while attending A Dancer's Workshop. While there, she studied various dance forms including Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip hop, Acro, Tap and Broadway Jazz. During here 12 years at A Dancer's Workshop, Wendy became part of the Junior & Senior Dance Companies, and assisted the studio director by teaching various classes. Wendy has competed in both Regional and National competitions and has won numerous awards for her solo performances as well as group performances. One of Wendy's most exciting performance experiences was performing with her dance company and other dance companies from all over the United States at the Florida Citrus Bowl half-time show. Wendy graduated from the Hartford Conservatory with a degree in Dance Pedagogy. While attending Hartford Conservatory she studied; Anatomy of Dancers, Dance History, Improvisation, Dance Performance, Dance Composition and various forms of dance Technique. Miss Wendy's dream now is to share her love and passion for dance with the students of The Dance Corner.
